There is a lot to know about serving as a municipal elected official. Whether you were just elected or are more experienced, there is always something new to learn or be reminded of. CML and Colorado Intergovernmental Risk Sharing Agency (CIRSA) offer numerous opportunities to provide municipal elected officials with valuable information through the "Essentials for Elected Officials" training series. The first event of this series is the concise "Overview of Municipal Office" webinar, and will focus on a variety of topics importance such as staff/council relations, budgeting, liability, open meetings and open records, the Colorado Governmental Immunity Act, ethics, and more.
One MUNIversity credit is available for this training.
Municipal Cost: Free to CML Municipal Members BUT you must register.
Associate Member Cost: $25
Nonmember Cost: $50.
Registration Deadline: February 7, 2018
Registrations may be canceled up to seven days prior to the scheduled event. Cancelled registrations from associate members and nonmembers received prior to this date will be refunded, less a $10 processing fee. Cancellations made fewer than seven days prior to the event cannot be accepted; however, attendee substitutuions can be made anytime. If you fail to attend the webinar, you are still responsible for payment. Your registration will not be final until payment is received.
